One way to speed up the time it takes to create process diagrams is to attach shapes to each other. This is another way of grouping shapes so that they move as a unit and not individually.
1. In Visio, drag the shape to the place where you want to attach it.
2. When you see a red square, this means the shape is glued.
From now on, when you move the guide, the shape will move along with it.
Once you get the hang of doing this, you’ll find that you can run through process maps much faster.
